TOMMIE A. SHIDER is a retired ESL instructor. He worked in the New Brunswick School District for 37 years and has taught ELL students of all ages and backgrounds. He has also worked on the college level at Ramapo, Middlesex, and Union College. In the last ten years of his career, he has served as the ESL Specialist in which he provided innovative teaching strategies, Professional Development, and workshops to colleagues as well as to foreign teachers at The Rutgers PALS Program. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ramapo College of Mahwah, NJ, and his Masters of Education degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He is the creator of “Tommie’s World” Where a little is a lot and the author of “The Pronoun Book” and “ESL Reinforcement Activity Book”.
